Why it matters now
Last year 73% of secondary schools and 49% of primary schools identified a cyber breach or attack, and phishing was behind almost all of them. Only 45% of primary schools apply security updates within 14 days. The DfE expects schools in England to meet its core digital and technology standards, including cyber security, by 2030.
